The Gas Test Atmospheres course provides practical, real-world training for people required to test atmospheres in environments where hazardous gases, vapours, fumes, or oxygen levels may pose a risk. You’ll learn how to:
- Understand WHS obligations and atmospheric testing requirements
- Identify atmospheric hazards, including flammable, toxic, and oxygen-deficient environments
- Select, inspect, and correctly use gas testing equipment
- Conduct atmospheric tests accurately and safely
- Interpret gas test results and determine appropriate control measures
- Record, report, and communicate gas testing outcomes
- Maintain and store gas testing equipment correctly
By the end of the course, you’ll be confident in your ability to conduct atmospheric testing, interpret results, and take appropriate action to ensure workplace safety.
