Confined Spaces & Working at Heights Combined Course – Online Refresher – Course Information
This combined online refresher course is intended for workers who have previously completed training in working at heights and confined space entry, and are required to keep their skills current for site compliance and safety requirements.
You will refresh your knowledge on how to:
- Identify hazards associated with working at heights and confined spaces
- Assess risks and apply effective control measures
- Select and use appropriate height safety and confined space equipment
- Follow correct entry, exit, and work procedures
- Understand isolation, permit, and safety planning requirements
- Apply emergency and rescue response procedures
- Maintain compliance with WHS legislation, standards, and site policies
This refresher is focused on reinforcing safe decision-making and risk awareness in high-risk work environments.

Entry Requirements
To enrol in this refresher course, students must:

Have successfully completed the following prerequisite units within the last 5 years:
- One of: Enter and Work in Confined Spaces - RIIWHS202E, RIIWHS202D or MSMPER205;
- One of: Work Safely at Heights - RIIWHS204E or RIIWHS204D -
Be at least 15 years of age.

Have basic computer skills and access to the internet.

Have sufficient language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills to complete assessments.

Hold a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI) - mandatory for all nationally recognised training. If you don't already have a USI, you can apply for one online at www.usi.gov.au or we can apply for one for you.
Students must provide the following evidence:

A clear copy of your driver's licence or other photo identification.

A Statement of Attainment issued by an RTO confirming successful completion of both RIIWHS202E and RIIWHS204E.
Note: Wallet cards will not be accepted unless they meet AQF requirements for an accredited Statement of Attainment.

If you are submitting a USI transcript, it must include a QR verification code.

If the student does not meet the refresher eligibility requirements and is required to complete the full course, an additional assessment fee will apply for the practical training and assessment component. This can be delivered at any of our training facilities across Australia.
